Rankwise, LPU is higher than UPES. For some specialised courses like petroleum engineering UPES is better but overall LPU would be a better choice.

LPU is much better than UPES because LPU provides great opportunities to all eligible students to secure good placements. Moreover, LPU ranks amongst the Top 200 universities globally as per the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021. I have spent 4 years in LPU and yes of course I have been placed in good company with the handsome package. Honestly saying LPU has a great role in this. When I joined LPU I was not good at speaking, presenting but LPU gave me all required inputs through PEP classes and Soft Skill Classes which actually groomed me. LPU has a separate department of career services which helps students in every step. The university has been ranked high by various outer agencies with regard to the placements of the students. Dear Sameeksha, Being alumni of LPU, I can answer this question. Comparing other Universities with LPU, I would say that LPU is better in terms of placements. In fact, LPU created a new record in the whole of North India by placing its student Tanya Arora with Microsoft, who bagged a package of 42 LPA. Besides, other record-breaking placements for LPU includes: the highest Placement (Engineering) Rs. 42 Lacs per annum (Microsoft) the highest Placement (Management) Rs. 19.75 Lacs per annum (SOBHA Developers) the highest Placement (Design) Rs. 15 Lacs per annum (Trident Group) Amazon recruited LPU students on a package of 28 LPA The highest internship stipend is up to 80k per month. (which is really hard to get in other universities) The reason why LPU has better placement records than other universities is because of its unique career cell.
