I can tell you about LPU. The placement of LPU is very good.600+ companies visit the campus every year and almost 90% of the students got placed. Last year a girl placed in Microsoft with a package of 42 Lacs per annum. The placement staff of LPU works very hard for bringing the company in the camp. LPU also have tie ups with foreign university that will help student to place in foreign universities. Apart from this infrastructure is extremely good. As per his feedback, the computer application department is one of the finest departments of LPU. The curriculum is so good and benchmarked with the foreign universities and Industry requirements which gives a clear gateway to good placement. Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT, commerce, arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .
