FTII, Pune is the premium institute for filmmaking in India. Apart from this, there are following institutes which are no less:
- Whistling Woods International, Mumbai
- Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata
- Asian Academy of Film and Television, Noida
- Zee Institute of Media Arts.
