    There is no conventional learning involved in the pilot training course but a series of written and medical tests with hands-on practical flying time and instruction that help the student proceed through the course. There are around 110 flying/pilot training colleges in India, and out of them, approximately 98% are private. Normally, a student first gets a Student Pilot License (SPL), then moves on to a Private Pilot License (PPL), and then finally proceeds to a Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
