It depends on which level you wish to teach in government schools:

Course	Eligibility	Teaching Level
B.Ed.	Graduation	Secondary & Higher Secondary (Class 6 to 12)
D.El.Ed.	10+2	Primary (Class 1 to 5)

Recent Supreme Court rulings:

· B.Ed. holders are not eligible for primary teacher positions in some states.

· However, some states are challenging this ruling or providing temporary relief to B.Ed. candidates.
