Depending on your field of interest, both courses are amazing with equally worth job opportunities. However, with my personal experience, I feel that hospitality sector is not only enticing, but also provides amazing job opportunities.
This sector is one of the fastest growing one and the academics are extremely interesting. My cousin and I pursued an Internship in the hospitality sector and grew overall as a person. She is currently pursuing BBA in hospitality, travel and tourism. You should give it a shot as well.

Both the fields are too diverse and it only depends on your interest which one interests you more. If you think you are a techno-savvy person, go for engineering as it will fetch you jobs with better pay and if you think you are more of socialite person, go for hotel management.
Top colleges for mechanical engineering are:
    UPES, Dehradun
    Thapar University, Patiala
    PEC, Chandigarh
    DTU, Delhi
Top colleges for hotel management are:
    IHMs
Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Delhi
Delhi Institute of Hotel Management, Delhi

Both these courses are good for future. It depends on your interest whether you want to be a tech guy or a management professional. If you are interested in technology, go with B.Tech otherwise you can choose hotel management.
