Which is the best course to pursue after class 12th if I have interest in computers- B.Tech or BCA?

    If you are a science student, then you should definitely take admission into B.Tech CSE/IT if you are eligible for admission. B.Tech degree holders are given more preference in IT Sector. But if someone you couldn't satisfy the eligibility criteria or you are from Commerce/Arts stream then you can pursue BCA too. BCA is one of the best course which a candidate pursue after B.Tech to work in IT Sector.     I won't say BCA is better than a B.Tech and vice versa. Both have it's own values in the world of education. Though, most jobs or all jobs done by B.Tech Computer Science student can be done by a BCA guy. But, the problem arises when you don't get a campus placement after BCA, it Is pretty hard to fetch a job. And, nowadays there is nothing much of a difference in the B.Tech case too, but B.Tech holds a slight advantage over BCA there. After BCA, you can join many multinational firms through campus placements, if your college is good enough. Even Deloitte hires BCA guys.     Hi Harsh,
    If it's computers that interests you most then you must apply for BE or B.Tech in Computer Science or IT if you wish to get a refined engineering degree.
    But if you think you want an applied computers degree then you can go for BCA.
