Which is the best course to pursue after Diploma in Mechanical? What is the scope? What is the criteria to pursue Marine engineering?

Hi, Thanks for the tag Manmeet Kaur50173 . * After completing degree course in Mechanical engineering : -Graduates may find employment in manufacturing firms. -One can seek employment in private or public sector industries of various types. -One can also find job in government departments such as CPWD, defense, PWD, posts and telegraphs. -Other sectors such as electronics, chemical, power plants, steel plants, agricultural, space research institutes, automobile and aeronautical as well as the railways, need mechanical engineers to design and maintain their machinery. -With postgraduate degree or with additional management degree one can find work in executive and managerial positions. -In agricultural division, mechanical engineers play a major role by establishing service centers for maintenance of pump sets, tractors, electric motors, oil engines and other agricultural equipments. -One can work in research activities with many public/private sector research organizations. -One can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges. -Postgraduate students with experience can also seek employment in abroad countries. * Salary : Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc. But, still, to give you a brief idea : -Engineers working in government departments can earn around Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 15,000 every month at beginner level while at superior level it might go up to more than Rs 20,000 every month. -Professors and lecturers of technical colleges are getting as fixed by UGC. -In private companies, their salaries are fairly high ranging from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 60,000 depending upon qualification and experience. -Consultancy job in mechanical engineering is also a highly lucrative career path. Hi, Generally, candidates join lateral B.Tech course after completing diploma in any engineering field to get direct entry into the second year. To be eligible, you need to score minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the diploma course. You need to sit for Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests. For marine field your diploma in mechanical will help in engine maintainance of ship , you can per sue Bsc or BE in marine engineering (engine branch)
