    Hi,
    Generally, candidates join lateral B.Tech course after completing diploma in any engineering field to get direct entry into the second year.
    To be eligible, you need to score minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the diploma course. You need to sit for Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.

    For marine field your diploma in mechanical will help in engine maintainance of ship , you can per sue Bsc or BE in marine engineering (engine branch)

    * To get admission in B.E / B.Tech Marine Engineering :-
    - You must complete 10+2 with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English from a recognized board.
    - You must clear detailed physical fitness and medical standards to qualify for admission.
