B.A. In history would help in your dream of becoming an IAS Officer. The idea here is to choose a Stream that helps you to prepare for IAS too. B.A. In History should help as IAS exam usually asks a lot of history questions. You can also pursue BA+LLB for same reason. You could pursue B.Sc. If you want but that won't help as much.

Hello, Firstly, it depends on that in which field you have interest and you can take any stream to complete your graduation for appearing in UPSC. I personally suggest you take arts stream if you have a clear vision and dream for appearing in UPSC because arts stream syllabus covers most of the topics of UPSC syllabus and it will help you in covering most of the subjects easily and you can take any other field. Also, it's all up to you and your interest and your dedication and passion towards UPSC preparation. All the best.

Hi Rekha, You can opt for any stream. The discipline of graduation does not really matter when it comes to becoming IAS officer. You can choose to pursue graduation in any field. What actually matters is your preparation for the UPSC exam.
