    Computer science engineering is always the most preferred branch of engineering as compared to ECE or mechanical in terms of better placements, decent salary packages and wider career prospectives.

    Placement depends on you and your college. if your college placement records are good then you have to get good jobs, second CSE is good in present time so I think you should go for it.

    B.Tech Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering are the top preferred branches in engineering. Most often Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering turn out to be the primary options for students. There are different reasons to choose Computer Science (CSE) over Mechanical and vice-versa. In Mechanical you have to deal with physics and alot of interesting technical stuff whereas in CSE you have to deal with programming language, software, and gain knowledge about Computer Science.
