The best line for an individual is the one in which he/she has some inherent interest, some flair for it, little knowledge and confidence to excel against all odds.

It depends on your tastes and interest. Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Applied Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering etc are most demanded .
