Which is the best MBA stream for future and offers maximum placement?

Hi, It depends on individual's interest and other factors like, your field of graduation and your career prospects. Major disciplines in MBA, you can look for are as follows: 1. Operations: It needs analytical knowledge with fair hands on mathematics. 2. Finance: It needs basic knowledge of accounting and share, equity, credit-debit transactions. 3. Marketing: It deals with the promotion and advertising strategy to convince the target customers for your product. 4. HR: It requires good communication skills to deal with your team. You need to get the best out of your team and keep them motivated. 5. Mass communication: If you are interested in media and mass communication and have good speaking skills. A good blend of mathematics and finance will be financial engineering, which is in demand and only few B-schools are offering it. There is no specific stream having highest offerings, in some B-Schools marketing students gets 40-50 lakhs package in other it may be finance student. Marketing has more opportunities of variable pay as compared to others, Finance is always paid more initially and is considered tougher as compared to others. HR is niche stream and often paid higher if pursued from a reputed B-school.

I don't think you need to choose your stream based on placement packages. You are going to remain in the same field for long. Package won't matter if you don't enjoy the work and become inefficient. But just to answer, finance has always been an evergreen stream always. Even consultancy pays off well, but the workload is heavy. Systems and data analytics is also another stream which is on a rise.
