Which is the best option for mechanical engineering among lpu and Chandigarh university?

Mechanical Engineering is a highly dynamic programme, it requires the university/college to upgrade its curriculum as per industry which changes really fast. Very few universities have recognised this and developed the systems to inculcate this important point. Only LPU and to some extent Thapar and PEC in northern part of India have been able to do it. Hi Nomanjee, Both are private universities, and all of them are trying their best to get their students placed. But the placement require large number of other things apart from calling the companies and setting up the interviews. The University needs to have the latest and industry consulted curriculum. The technologies like SAP, advance excel, GitHub and other MOOCs are required to have the edge above other students The entrepreneurship projects, innovation labs, design thinking labs and business incubators etc. Are must to expose the students to real time situations and problem solving skills. Professional enhancement is must for students, they need to be exposed to professional etiquette, mannerisms, communication and interpersonal skills, ethics and virtues, right sensibilities to work in multicultural environment. Community development projects must be part of the programme so that students become empathetic and learn the organizing skills When the interviewer sees the skills in the students then only he/she hires them. So there may be some companies going to each of these campuses but offering the highest salaries to one of them and hiring for run of the mill positions and lower salaries from the others. Having 16 years of experience in some of the top universities in the country, I can vouch for the fact that LPU which you have not included in the question has the best track record in all the above parameters and that's why it is able to place maximum number of students at maximum offered salaries in some of the top companies. About 600 companies are regular to LPU for campus recruitment! As many as 60 offer more than 10 LPA to multiple students in ME. So the record speaks for itself, LPU is miles ahead of any of these in any parameter whatsoever. All the best.

I have done my engineering from LPU can confidently say that LPU has experienced faculty members, well-equipped labs, great infrastructure, excellent placements and complete training and placement assistance. Now talking specifically about Mechanical engineering, I had many friends in this branch and almost all of them were placed via campus placements, that too in core companies.
