    Varun ! there are many premier private colleges in punjab that are doing exceptionally well in their profession and are ranked among the best institutes of this country.go with the one that along with good placements provides a platform where one can boost their skills.here are some of the colleges where you may get admisison: Thapar University ,Lovely Professional University ,IIT ropar etc.you can avail high scholarship by scoring good rank in their entrance examination and moreover i have heard that Lovely Professional University venture in their students an unmatched entrepreneurial skills that make them efficient managers.

    Which University is better It all depends upon the prospect of university/college that you are looking forward to like the curriculum and study, recruitment and placement rate and campus infrastructure and life. It is a little hard to say which is the "best" because it really depends on the student's preferences and research interests but in my opinion, You can go for Geeta University as it is the best University for in NCR. GU gives the student a unique opportunity to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a few specializations in it:

    Hi Varun,
    There are many private colleges in Punjab to pursue B.Tech in mechanical engineering. I would suggest you RIMT University for engineering course, because its engineering department is very good as compare to other colleges. http://rimt.ac.in/.
