Without any bias towards any particular college, I will offer you my own perspective. It depends on your end goals or objectives. Most of the Engineering Colleges in India don't focus much on developing the overall personality of the student. Anyways Your decision making should not be on the basis of placements, packages but on quality of students ( your peer group), faculty, infrastructure, curriculum, and the alumni network. My brother has completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely Professional University and currently he is working in Amazon with the highest package. So through him I come to know about University and few other things which I would like to discuss:- LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. Professors are easily approachable in the college and are well experienced. They are very supportive of all technicalities. Students can contact them anytime for their study purpose. The latest teaching methods are used in the classroom. The placements on the campus is good enough. It is the best university in the North of India to give the best packages in B.Tech (CSE). During the time of my brother induction, I have seen a few students who got placed in the companies with a package of 42 LPA. The university placement drive undoubtedly works hard for the students to get placed. Just before Final Year of your course, a special team called School of Professional Enhancement will prepare students for upcoming placements and you won't get a day off from placements, every day a company comes to campus. Its just up to you how well you can do and never lose Patience you will get placed, you just have to prepare well for that. The university has tie-ups Oracle to train us better and with huge companies for placements like Google, Microsoft, Capgemini, Amazon, JOSH technology group, Tech Mahindra, TCS and others who visit every year offering attractive packages to students. Hello, I would suggest you to expand your horizon and look for options with different features. Check out their faculty members, placement details, internships, labs, projects, curriculum and few other factors which are important. As per my experience I would suggest you LPU. Lovely Professional University (LPU) is one such university that is reputed in the field of education and can easily be your first choice to pursue an engineering degree. One of the best things about LPU is the placement opportunities it provides to its students. LPU has already established the record of the highest number of placements in North India in the last three years. Students of this university are working at respectable positions in major corporations such as Amazon, Google, etc. With packages of more than 1 crore. Cognizant alone has hired 1900 students from the university. Many students of LPU have been hired in a lot of good companies from all around the world. More than 700+ companies such as Microsoft, HP, Hindustan Lever, etc. That recruit from IIT also recruit from LPU. The campus of the university spans over 600 acres and is like a city in itself. The campus has labs, auditorium (the largest in the country), libraries, hospital, shopping malls, post office, and an in-house hotel. If I talk the curriculum in the CSE branch is very well designed, we can learn everything from basics to the in-depth knowledge of the desired field. The College takes us for an industrial visit for more growth and experience.
