Which is the best textbook for the preparation of GATE (mechanical engineering)?

I am planning to prepare for GATE exam on my own.

HI, There is a book called GATE MECHANICAL which consists of all the fundamental of all the subjects. I personally feel that the book is more than sufficient for cracking the exam. It costs around 800 INR.

Thank you so much for the help. But could you provide me with the author's name which you think would be best for preparing GATE? As there are so many books for GATE if I search. And I cannot buy all of them.
