Few points told by my brother who did his studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision:
A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure.
Lovely Professional University provides several programs that include B.Tech, B.Tech (Hons. ), a dual degree programme for B.Tech and M.Tech and B.Tech and MBA and integrated programs like B.Tech and MBA and B.Tech and M.Tech. Here at LPU, you can get enrolled in any stream as per your interest and choice. Every year many students join the various engineering courses that are offered by LPU.
Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for them by the university. , Ministry of Science Technologys Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs, top Central and State Universities including (LPU) from across the country presented their research proposals.
The syllabus is updated every 6 months which personally, It has separate lab facilities available for each course like robotics Lab, research lab, postgraduate lab, aviation lab, lab for fashion designing, advance kitchen lab etc.
Faculties are highly qualified, most of the faculties have done their Ph.D and others are pursuing, They have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge.They are cooperative and whenever you need their help they are ready to help you out.
PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc.) All a student has to do is to maintain a good academic record and personality to ensure his/her placement.
Mechanical Engineering students at LPU are provided with enormous opportunities of placement drives. I can see my few friends getting placed in reputed companies like Hyundai, Reliance Energy, Godrej, Sandhar Technology,XL Dynamics and many more. Even IT industries recruit Mechanical students here. Companies like Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, are prominent recruiters.

There is a huge scope of mechanical engineering in all kinds of manufacturing industries, aerospace engineering, automotive industries, government organizations, Public Welfare Departments and defense sector as they seek mechanical engineers and offer a good salary with growth opportunities to B.Tech graduates. Dear Nomanjee, I have no details of the mechanical engineering programme at Chitkara University, Rajpura or Chandigarh University but being an alumnus of LPU. LPU among the only three Universities ranked top 200 in the world in Times Higher Education Impact Ranking 2021
