Engineering is one of the most prestigious and most sought-after careers. Many students take the JEE-level examination in order to gain admission to low-cost B.Tech colleges because usually the government colleges charge lower fees for B.Tech. However, there are several other colleges in Delhi that offer a B.Tech course at affordable fees, mostly aiming to empower less privileged students. Their admission criteria is a higher secondary (10+2) education background with Physics Chemistry and math as the mandatory subjects. Also, the cut-off marks could vary in the case of the reserved category and depend on the institutions to which you are planning to apply. Based on fee information available on the Shiksha website, Jamia Millia Islamia is the cheapest and most reputable college to pursue B.Tech in Delhi. The fee charged is just Rs. 64,000 for almost all specializations of B.Tech. Apart from it, Netaji Subhas University of Technology (East Campus), formerly AIACTR, is also a premier engineering institute located in Delhi that charges less than Rs 2 Lacs for B.Tech.
