Which is The Largest Flower In Worlds ?

Hi Anand, Rafflesia is the worlds largest flower .It named after Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles who led the expedition that discovered the flower in the Indonesian rain forest.Basically rafflesia is a genus of parasitic flowering plants.
Rafflesia is an endoparasite of vines spreading its root-like inside the tissue of the vine The only visible part of the plant is the five -petalled flower. The flower looks and smells like flesh, which gives it local names like "copse flower","meat flower" etc, actually this vile smell and look is its mechanism to attract insects for the pollination.
Size:- 20centimeters-100centimeters diameter
weight:- up to...more -
Rafflesia.read about it in the NCERT book.have you ever tried reading them? They are really good, especially for those who study in schools following CBSE syllabus. Moreover, they encourage students to do their own research on every topic that it touches upon, which is an achievement in itself. There are so many students these days, unfortunately who would like to have readymade 'halwa' of their syllabus, instead of going through books.

Shams@ hi anand
The largest flower in the world is rafflesia arnoldi. This rare flower is found in the rainforests of Indonesia and can grow to be 3 feet across and weigh up to 15 pounds!
It is a parasitic plant, with no visible leaves, roots, or stem and attaches itself to a host plant to obtain water and nutrients and in bloom, the Rafflesia emits a repulsive odor, similar to that of rotting meat. This odor attracts insects that pollinate the plant.
Hope you have got your answer and hope this will help you.
