IBSAT and CMAT both exams are for management admission. Through these exams, one can get admission in good management institutes.CMAT is tougher than IBSAT.
IBSAT exam includes Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation. CMAT includes Quantitative Techniques, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, etc.

There is nothing such thing called tougher to crack or easy to crack. This view depends upon the preparation of the exam you are giving. There are number of exams conducted in India for the MBA type courses. Exams like CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, IBSAT, NMAT, SNAP, etc. have some minor tweaking and variations apart from the main sections. Simple answers are 'none' or 'both'. It solely depends upon you how difficult you make this exam. None of these exam will be difficult for you if you are well prepared and may be both of the exam are big hurdle for you if you don't have prepare for it. IBSAT and CMAT are all like other exam which tests your ability and skills. If you have adopted an effective preparation strategy and you know time management then you can crack both the exam easily.If you are preparing for CAT and XAT then CMAT/IBSAT is going to be a cakewalk for you. For admission to ICFAI Business School, candidates must meet the overall cutoff criteria specified for CAT, XAT, GMAT and IBSAT. Based on the cutoff criteria, candidates will be shortlisted for the micro presentation and personal interview rounds. Candidates who are shortlisted through IBSAT scores will be notified on their registered email ID or SMS. Once the IBSAT 2025 results are announced, candidates must appear for the following rounds:
- Selection briefing
- Micro presentation
- Personal interview
The IBSAT 2025 selection rounds will commence in second week of February 2026 at IBS Hyderabad. Candidates with IBSAT/CAT/NMAT/XAT or GMAT scores will be shortlisted for selection rounds.
IBSAT 2025 scorecard will be issued online to all the test takers. Candidates who will appear for the online exam on December 27 and December 28 can download the result online at general.ibsindia.org. Candidates will not be issued the scorecard offline. To download the IBSAT result 2025, candidates must visit the official IBSAT webiste and click on tab 'IBSAT result' and enter their login details to view and take print of scorecard.
