    There are various job avenues which are open for a student once he/she completed graduation in journalism - but only when it is accompanied by a post graduate degree in the same subject (except in exceptional cases - where one gets job soon after graduation).

    As a Mass Communication graduate I can honestly say there are several paths you can take with the broad knowledge you'll gain. Choosing the right internship and the right minor will help you go far in any of the following career paths. Advertising, Broadcasting (TV/Radio/Web), Journalism (Newspaper/Online), Public Relations, Marketing, Publishing, Film, and any other subcategories from these.
