Which language should I learn first, Java or Python?

Python and Java are the two most popular programming languages. Both are used by a large number of people because they are high-level, general-purpose languages. The majority of today's desktop and online applications are written in Java. Python, however, is used to build applications for data Science and machine learning. It's a tough choice between the two.
