Which MBA branch is better among finance, marketing and operations in terms of placement? I have an engineering degree in mechanical.

All the branches are good. However, one should pursue the specialisation keeping in mind one's core strengths. A finance guy needs to be good in analytics/numbers. A marketing guy needs to be street smart and extrovert whereas an operations guy needs to be detailed & process-oriented. So first evaluate your personality traits and then decide on the specialisation.
