Which MBA program should I opt for a better career prospects: Executive MBA or regular MBA?

Hi, Please let us know in detail about your total work experience for better advice. If you have work experience of more than 3 years in that case executive MBA would be the best option for you, whereas if you have 1 or less then one year of experience then you may opt for a full time MBA or PGDM program. Executive MBA students are almost never at the beginning stages of their career. Students at the beginning level tend to be better suited to traditional MBA programs that cater to student of all ages and experience levels. To pursue Executive MBA one needs to have at least 3 years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree from recognized university. There are some colleges that insist on aspiring students having a post graduate degree too as a criterion. Other than this, depending on the institute’s requirements, the aspiring students would have to clear the entrance exams, the group discussions and the personal interview rounds. Please note that, the final selection in full time MBA or PGDM program is made on the basis of: 1. Education background of the students. i.e. 50% marks in graduation. 2. Score in various management entrance tests like CAT, MAT, XAT, etc 3. Performance in group discussions and personal interview. 4. Work experience if any. 5. At all times MBA through regular mode of education is most preferable, unless ofcourse you have more than 5 years of relevant hardcore work experience and then just want to add up your qualifications.
