    Girls usually prefer HR traditionally. but that does not mean they can't do well in other specializations. It all depends on your area of interest. Most MBA courses have a common 1st year and you can decide during then which specialization to opt for 2nd year. BE production with MBA in operations can be advantageous as some companies may view you as focused on your area of specialization.

    Your MBA specialization basically depends on your personality, skills, and career goals. The traditional fields of Marketing and Finance will always remain popular.
    Those who prefer to crunch numbers and are comfortable relegating to the background with balance sheets may do well with Finance specialisation.
    Those who love to interact with clients, are creative and innovative, and can influence people easily can choose Marketing as their specialisation.

    Being a CAT trainer for the last 15 years, let me start by stating, that it is imperative for you to do your PGDM, from the top 50 B Schools in India. You need to get a minimum of 90 percentile in the CAT exam, to stand a realistic chance of making it to these B Schools. Coming to the specialization, the decision has to be taken by you.
