As yet there is no good animation course in correspondence. Also, it is quite difficult to do good work in a practice oriented field like animation. If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in UI Design, Graphic Design, Storyboarding, Animation Design, Game Design, 3D Modelling

Dear Ravinarayan , Not in India but there are various international schools offering online training . Animation is an art and you can learn it online too. you can go to Lynda.com for basic of any course/category. then for advance if you specifically wants training in animation then animation mentor is worlds best animation training institute. companies like Pixar recruit animation mentor students. one thing that all those courses are too costly so people prefer a basic training in India and then go to animation mentor. for more info attend webinars freely available on net.

Dear Ravinarayan, though its a good option to study a course thru' correspondence, but animation is a course you have to go to a centre to learn. Don't look it as a subject which you have to study and score, you have to learn many things, hence it is advisable to visit a centre and do a course.
