Which of the two is better - degree or diploma program in interior designing

i am persuing my b.com third year now and i would like to do interior designing after my bcom.so would it be a fair decision to do another degree course in interior designing or should i do a diploma in interior designing..??which one is being given more preference from a job aspect??
