It depends upon your interest and hobbies that which course you want to take aero nautical Engineering or mechanical engineering.
Aeronautical engineering deals with creating aircrafts and maintenance of the aircraft whereas mechanical engineering deals with maintenance of Machines engines etc.

This can't be a compared as you can't compare different branches of different college. In general, go for mechanical over aeronautical (unless you are passionate about aeronautical).
Between two colleges MIT Manipal is leaps and bounds better than SRM.
Go for Manipal University (main campus). MIT M
