Which of these is better: B.Tech in CSE from IIT, Bombay or B.Tech in CSE from IIT, Delhi?

Both the IITs are good but in my opinion, IIT Bombay is better for B.Tech in CSE than IIT Delhi because IIT Bombay provides good infrastructure, good course curriculum, good CSE faculty members and good computer labs also.

If you compare on the basis of placements of CSE, then IITB somehow outperformance IITD. Here is quick comparison between two. It is really difficult to compare the two Indian Institute of Technology because both of these institutes are leading universities/colleges of India. For some year, IIT-Bombay is on top and then for some years, IIT-Delhi is on top. If we have to really compare them, we should compare them on the basis of their placements: In IIT Bombay- About 100% students of computer science engineering got placed in the placement. Salaries range from 10 Lakh per annum to 1.5 crores per annum. Big companies like Microsoft, Visa, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, etc. visited the campus. Roles offered include software engineer, data scientist, analyst, trader, etc. Around 80-90% got an internship with stipend varying from 15k to 150k rupees. Average would be around 30k. In IIT Delhi- The placements with almost all the students getting placed with the highest package of about a crore but for US-based roles. All the software giants and finance and consulting companies come here, be it Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Visa, IBM or Goldman Sachs, Tower Research and McKinsey and a lot more hire from the college for Indian and foreign-based roles like Software Developer, Analysts, Consultants, and Program Managers profiles. Stipends given are decent and can go up to a lakh for two months for the major companies. Hope it helps.

Being in an IIT, you can expect the best of the education, faculty, services and placements in India. Both the colleges have a strategic advantage of being placed in a metro city other than being on the top of the list of the best engineering colleges in India. IIT-Delhi is on the 179 position on the list of the best worldwide engineering colleges while IIT-Bombay is on 202 positions the same list. The paper for faculty list in IIT-Delhi is 2 while you same for IIT-Bombay is 25 which is really impressive. Electrical branch in Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi is the best among all the IITs in India. Also, a lot of startups from Gurgaon come looking for recruiting students from IIT-Delhi, which gives IIT-Delhi more number of offers per student ratio. Also, the colleges in the heart of the city and so the students get more exposure. Finally, I would like to conclude by saying that no matter which IIT you choose it is on you of what you make out of your college life. I hope this helps.

B.Tech from IIT-Bombay is preferable as compared to IIT-Delhi. Both are present in metro cities so there is nothing such as location disadvantage. The culture, however, in both the campuses differs a lot. IIT-Bombay is located around beautiful Powai lake. While IIT-Delhi is located in the mainland city. IIT-Bombay stands above in ranking as compared to IIT-Delhi. IIT-Delhi: Software giants and finance and consulting companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Visa, IBM, Goldman Sachs, Tower Research, McKinsey and a lot more hire students from the college for various roles and profiles. Some people also get pre-placement offers after their internships. IIT-Bombay: Companies like 3M, AC, Neilson, ACCENTURE, Adobe, Amazon, Barclays Bank, Blue Star, Essar Cellular, GE Capital Services, General Motors, HSBC, Infosys, McKinsey, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Motorola, Musigma, ONGC, Oracle, Qualcomm and Sandisk visit the campus.
