Which of these is better: B.Tech in CSE from IIT Kharagpur or B.Tech in CSE from IIT Bombay?

Please share the details on the basis of course outline, faculty, placement and college infrastructure.

    Well it’s tough to compare between two top colleges, however for CSE IIT Bombay is best.
    Here is a comparison between them:
    IIT Bombay:
    Intake:- 96 (CSE)
    Placements:
    Average package: - 11 lakhs
    Highest package: - 80 lakhs
    Recruiters: - Google, Facebook, Symex, Microsoft, Rolls Royce, Texas Instruments, Unilever, ITC, OPA, Goldman Sachs, General Motors Aditya Birla Group and many more.

    Hello,
    If you have to choose between IIT-Bombay and IIT-Kharagpur for Computer Science and Engineering, without any second thought in mind, you should opt for CSE in IIT-Bombay because CSE in IIT-Bombay is just excellent. The top 60 odd, best minds, when work together, it gives an entirely different approach towards things. Your peers are top JEE rankers. This automatically implies an excellent competition.
    Professors are very qualified. Most of the professors have Master's degree and doctorate degree from top universities of the world. They are excellent in their respective fields.
    Excellent curriculum. Our curriculum is well designed.

    If you compare on the basis of placements of CSE, then IITB somehow outperformance IITKH. Here is quick comparison between two. IIT BOMBAY
    Average package:- 12.5 Lacs
    the highest package:- 1.3 crores
    Percentage placed:- 79.8%
    No of offers made (2016) :- 1143
    Recruiters:- Spectrum, TCE, Nevis Network, Eaton, West End Capital, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Shell, Sony Japan, World Quant, Goldman Sachs, UBS, TSMC, Tower Research, Tibco, Sybase, Sandisk, Rediff, Reliance Solar.

    Based on academics, infrastructure, faculty, placement and alumni network IIT-Powai has minor edge over IIT-Kharagpur for B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering degree.

    IIT-Bombay being among the top 3 IITs in India should be your priority unless you don't qualify for the same.
    IIT-Kharagpur once used to be the best among the top IITs in India but it has one disadvantage of its location being in a town because of which it suffers in attracting local companies.
    The advantages that one gets by getting admission in IIT-Bombay over IIT-Kharagpur are mentioned below:
    Due to the strategic location of IIT Bombay being in a metro, the college is able to attract a lot of companies including the core ones
    More number of core companies visit IIT-Bombay than in comparison to IIT-Kharagpur.

    Course, syllabus, and curriculum followed by both the colleges are same in computer science engineering. But according to me, IIT-Bombay is a much better college than IIT Kharagpur for computer science engineering branch.
    There is not much of comparison between the colleges of IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur on the basis of infrastructure, facilities and faculty.
    Let's take a look at placement:
