NIT-Trichy is ranked 11 according to the MHRD rankings while NIT-Warangal is ranked at 34. But the question asked bothers me more. We can't compare two different branches in different colleges. Actually comparing different branches from the same college is also not a good idea. Branch is not a thing which can be termed as good or bad or better than other. Branch should be chosen only on basis of one's personal interest and passion for it. If you don't know which ones better suited for you, I would recommend to going to college's website and comparing the curriculum of both the branches. It will surely help you in making a decision. Both the colleges are equally good in terms of faculties, infrastructure and exposure. I think National Institute of Technology-Trichy has a better placement record than NIT-Warangal. We are comparing two different branches. Computer Science and Engineering in NIT-Trichy have upper hand over Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NIT-Warangal. These days most of the students are getting placed in IT firms irrespective of their branches.
NIT-Trichy has maintained its top position for past 4-5 years. Environment in the institute is pretty awesome. Placement is 100% for both the branches in both the colleges. According to latest NIRF

    Hello students,
NIT-Trichy and Warangal, two of the finest jewels of all the NITs.
Both these institutions have superb faculty. Both these institutions have earned their name by dint of hard work, innovativeness and keeping up with times. These two institutions have evolved along with time and hence a steady stream of companies make beeline for recruitments.
