Dear Vinamar, All these names are decently placed, but the matter of fact is, the cut throat competition in industry leaves most of the graduates out with obsolete skills. On the other hand LPU has recognised the need of constantly upgrading its curriculum in consultations with Industry. I would say that these universities have a great name but with the proliferating competition within the industries, it is the utmost need of graduates to have appropriate skills and competencies. Chandigarh University is one such university that has a prime objective of developing these appropriate skills and competencies among its students. The university has designed the course curriculum taking into consideration the changing needs of the industry and the corporate sector. I would argue that these institutions have a good reputation, but with the increasing rivalry in the sectors, graduates must have the necessary skills and abilities. Chandigarh University is one such university that prioritizes the development of these necessary skills and competencies among its students. The university built the course curriculum with the changing demands of the industrial and business sector in mind. Chandigarh University is the best University in terms of placements for students
CU Campus Placements for the session 2021-22 saw some big names such as Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Hewlett Packard, SAP Labs, Samsung, L&T, Arcesium, Wipro, Flipkart recruiting engineering students from Chandigarh University. A record number of 3750 engineering students were selected during the campus placements in which more than 240 multinational companies participated. Mechanical Engineering and CSE are good courses to pursue, as LPU alumni, I would recommend LPU for any of these courses. I myself did CSE and got placed in a decent MNC. B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering is related to algorithms, computation, programming languages, programme design, computer hardware, computer software, etc. It is a comprehensive course in computer systems and applications. The students who pursue the course of Computer Science Engineering are taught about design, the implementation as well as management of computer software and hardware.

Mechanical engineering, any day. It's a traditional engineering branch that has promising career options. UPES is far ahead of VIT in terms of faculty and placement. Also, the campus is cool and is situated in the hills. I'd suggest you go for mechanical engineering especially if you are interested in machines and a better career.

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from UPES is a better option than CSE from VIT.
In UPES, you can choose among various specializations under the Mechanical Engineering umbrella

Computer Science and Engineering from UPES is one of the best in the country, and far better than mechanical engineering from MIT. I know this because I know an alumnus of UPES and have been placed in one of the top MNCs with a really good package. The best part is their faculty, industrial visits and specialised programs with support from best tech giants in the world.
