Go for Manipal University (main campus).
MIT Manipal is known for its quality education. It has excellent infrastructure and faculties too.
It is in top 50 ranks by National Institution ranking framework among the Indian Engineering colleges.
Manipal has better placements for the ECE department is better than VIT and it had almost 92 percent overall placements.
Manipal has gained the respect of students through its performance throughout the years.
On the other hand I think VIT is all about advertising. They just want to make profits.
Whatever your rank in VITEEE you can get into any branch by paying more. It is like they are selling seats.

    B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from MIT Manipal is better than Electronics and Communication Engineering from VIT Vellore because, there are all sorts of lab available here along with hardcore faculties. Quality of students is also good in this branch as getting admission in this college is totally based on merit ( marks scored in MUOET ), and one needs high score almost 130 or rank almost less than 3000 which is quite difficult.
On the other hand, anybody can get into VIT Vellore through management quota and other qoutas.
From Alumni point of view, Manipal Institute of Technology has best ever Electronics and Comm
