Which of these is better: B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay or B.Tech in CSE from IIT Delhi?

Indian institute of technology Bombay and Indian institute of technology Delhi are the top engineering colleges of India. There is slight difference between both the colleges. Here we are comparing two different branches .It's very difficult to choose one of the above mentioned Institutes. Computer science engineering is most popular course in engineering. So, if your interest lies in coding and other software related stuff then Choosing IIT Delhi over IIT Bombay will be a good decision.

According to the National Institution Ranking Framework, IIT Delhi ranks 4th among all engineering colleges in India and has seen great global rankings according to Nasscom. Computer science engineering at IIT, Delhi is really appreciated and has great ROI.
100 percent placements recorded year on year for CSE.
Placement scenario is:-
1) Total offers: 223
2) Average package: Rs 11 lakhs per annum
3) Median package: Rs 15 lakhs per annum
4) Highest package: Rs 95 lakhs per annum by Facebook.

There is slight difference between both the colleges. Here we are comparing two different branches. It's very difficult to choose one of the above mentioned Institutes. Computer Science engineering is most popular course in engineering. So, if your interest lies in coding and other software related stuff then Choosing IIT Delhi over IIT Bombay will be a good decision. If you compare on the basis of placements of CSE, then IITB somehow outperformance IITD. Here is quick comparison between two. IIT BOMBAY
Average package:- 12.5 Lacs (aggregate of all branches)
the highest package:- 1.3 crores (aggregate of all branches)
Percentage placed:- 79.8%

Both the IITs are good but in my opinion, IIT Delhi is better for B.Tech in CSE than IIT Bombay for electrical engineering because IIT Delhi provides good infrastructure, good course curriculum, good CSE faculty members and good computer labs also.

The answer could be very subjective as there are infinite possible results of the two choices made.
I'll start from IIT Delhi. The course outline of computer science here is quite well aligned with the course structure of top ranked international universities and is definitely one of the most well-structured courses in the IITs as it is pretty evident by the placements or the students' selection for MS-PhD and even entrepreneurship options. The facilities provided by the computer science department is really well apt and is definitely parallel to the international standards. The course outline of computer science here is quite well aligned with the course structure of top ranked international universities and is definitely one of the most well-structured courses in the IITs as it is pretty evident by the placements or the students' selection for MS-PhD and even entrepreneurship options. The facilities provided by the computer science department is really well apt and is definitely parallel to the international standards. Speaking about the infrastructure facility in IITD the 350-acre campus is located in South Delhi and is very close to the international airport and various railway stations and is well equipped with all the facilities and necessities required and is comparatively very green and clean than the outer Delhi. The placements of the CS here are very good and almost 80-90% of the people who sit in placements get desired placement. Comparing this with electrical engineering in IITB is really complex and subjective to the interests. The facilities provided by IITB are definitely one of the best in the country and are well aligned to the international standards. The placements are expected to be same or nearly same. The difference stands out on two things, first the course outline. It can be seen that majority of people go for a coding or a technical profile from EE. There maybe some courses in electrical which are irrelevant for such profiles. Secondly, if one is really interested in a particular thing there is no ambiguity about the choice as every year there are some unconventional lads standing out from the herd who choose by their heart ( somebody chose Bachelor's in Physics in Kanpur with an AIR of 7 in JEE). Thus, if you feel that you are fascinated by the software and development world, then CS can be a go for you and if you really have an inclination toward circuits, robotics and if breadboard is your desired bread then you can opt for electrical engineering in IITB. I've tried to state the opportunities and possibilities of both the options and yet I'd say follow your heart. It would be the one who shall drive you through the University and further.
