Which of these is better: B.Tech in IT from VIT University or B.Tech in IT from SRM University, Chennai ?

Please share the details on the basis of course outline, faculty, placement and college infrastructure for Vellore Institute of Technology University and SRM, Chennai.

I would go for VIT any day just because the college has a better reputation ranking 6th on the list of the best private, while SRM ranks 11th on the same list.
Life at VIT is a little more hectic and restricting than life at SRM, this is because of the fact that you will have to solve daily assignments and your classes runs from 8:00 to 7:00 if you belong to CSE in the first year, this is the case at VIT.
While at SRM, you have classes till 5:00 in the first year, and there are no such assignments. Also, you get to go out as many times as you want to, unlike VIT.
So in clear sense, you get to have much more freedom at SRM.
