    A degree from Birla Institute of Technological Sciences (BITS) Pilani is any day better than that of Vellore Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Vellore Institute of Technology is only known for its placement record, which consists of IT companies, and one or two core companies, which offer you a salary of 2.5-4 lakhs per annum on an average. This works well for computer science and information science, unlike other branches.

    BITS Pilani is better than VIT University.
    BITS stand among top 5 universities in India as per the latest government rankings framework.     Well B.Tech in ME from Bits Pilani is better option as
    Placements : Placements of the college are very good. More than 90% students get placed every year.
    The minimum salary offered is 4 lakhs per annum and the maximum is 10.5 lakhs per annum. Many companies in different streams visit the college for placements. Some companies come for internships only and they provide pre-placement offers to the selected students. Almost 98% of students get an internship from the college. Companies visiting the college are from core fields as well as from non-core fields.
