HI, BU is an autonomous university which offers engineering courses. I don't remember if BU has any good placement records. It has an average of everything from hostel to academics. There are no labs, no industrial exposure and if you want to do some extra course, let's say embedded, for example, there is no option as the city is not that good. But, here are some of the facts which I would like to mention about CSE department of MJPRU:- Infrastructure is good and facilities are better with proper experimental laboratories and equipment. The faculty is average, not so good but far better than private institutes. Syllabus followed is standard and standard authors books and materials are taught from. Enough time to study for competitive exams, usually self-mode preparation can be done enthusiastically. World Bank project TEQIP is being carried out in the MJPRU, so teaching and other academic facilities are going to change over and a makeshift, as it is being monitored by the World Bank funding body. Student union politics can be horrible and disruptive in academic activities, but at the same time student politics provide ample opportunity to each and every student for claiming their rights and betterment in the campus. I'd pick MJPRU over BU any day. All the best.
