Which of these is better for BTech CSE: Thapar University or SRM University, Kattankulathur?

<p>Both the colleges are equally good, but I will vote for Thapar University, Patiala because of the standard which the University has maintained since its establishment. I will try to distinguish between both colleges with the help of certain parameters:</p><ul><li>ADMISSION PROCESS: Thapar University admits its students on the basis of JEE main marks. Usually cutoff goes higher for Computer engineering (around 180). While SRM University conducts its own examination called SRMJEE.</li><li>CAMPUS: SRM University has a very good and beautiful campus. Student intake is higher at SRM University.&nbsp;</li><li>Thaper don't have any management quota seat whereas SRM had few seats reserved for the management quota. The fee is almost similar in both colleges. And location-wise Chennai has the upper hand over Patiala.</li></ul>

According to my views and experience, SRM University is the best university for the computer Science courses. In this university, you can get good placements. And, good companies come here for the placement cell. You can get good companies here for the placement. This college has good infrastructure and peaceful environment too.

Thapar University and SRM University are the best college of India but I suggest you to go through Thapar University on the basis of these few points Admission Processes: Admission in Thapar University is done through JEE Mains in which one who scored good marks so that rank is less than 50k than you get admission and in SRM admission is done through SRMJEEE which is quite easy to score good marks in the exam so talented student came to Thapar University. Fee structure: SRM University charge lot of money for their tuition fee and all other fund which is quite less in Thapar University. Placement: Thapar University and SRM, both have good placements. Marketing SRM invest more money on the marketing their brand but you little see the adds of Thapar university. So, all the students came to Thapar by just its record. Exposure Both colleges think more about this in which students are free to do what they want to do in their life. Internship Many companies give chance to student of Thapar University to do internship in their company. Campus Thapar University has only one campus in India but SRM University has 7 campuses. This would mean that they didn't care much about each single student. Although, Thapar University is the best option.

Greetings from SHIKSHA. Computer Science Engineering is amongst the Best Engineering Branches. There is very good scope of doing CSE from both these Institutes in the terms of training, education and Placements. Thapar University and SRM University are among the best Engineering Institutes in India. Placement ratio of both of these institutes is really very good. The campuses of both the institutes are also the best. So, now, talking about the point that which is better among these two Institutes then the answer will be Thapar University. It is better than SRM University because the intake of Thapar University is less than SRM University. So, less but quality engineers are made by Thapar University and packages are slightly higher than SRM University. Thapar University comprises of only one campus and SRM University has 5 to 7 campuses. So, since the intake is more, the quality engineers are not much produced here. Thus, Thapar University is better than SRM University in every terms of training, education, placements, research and further studies.

Although both the universities are working nicely and effortlessly and in constant competition with each other, Thapar and lovely Professional University rules in north whereas SRM and VIT are in southern part of India. Placements: SRM has an edge providing more placement opportunities to students with and highest package of 35 LPA and average upto 12 LPA whereas in Thapar it is 9 LPA and highest goes up to 27 LPA. Thapar University takes admission on the basis of JEE Mains and has tie-ups with companies such as Flipkart, Amazon, Igate, Aon, Microsoft, etc. Whereas SRM takes admission on the basis of SRMJEE held every year and has many more corporates along with those mentioned with Thapar University. Also, SRM University has a plus point being located in the prime location where almost all multinational and global corporates have their India headquarters and hence has a plus point of attracting the corporates at priority. Although, the curriculum along with the fee is nominal with facilities provided, so it can be a better second option after SRM.
