Both HR and Finance are good career specialisation for MBA graduation. Both opens different scope in respective functional area. MBA Finance faces challenges from CA, CFA and other financial professionals. In fact even after MBA Finance, you may have to gain such professional certifications for career growth. HR is now a business critical function of business management. Some HR professionals are moving up the value chain even to become CEOs. I will recommend HR over finance but from top B School only.

Shweta, both the branches are equally good. Finance can help you get jobs in banking sector. Hi Shweta, Both and any specialization are equal. It all depends on your interest and the college you end up doing your MBA from. A good college will get you placements on any specialization you do your MBA in.

MBA finance has greater scope. There are a greater number of jobs and higher average salary for Finance graduates.
But may not necessarily be the right field for you. If you are amazing with numbers and patterns, then opt for finance. However if people and relations are your forte, you must go for HR.
