In my opinion you should go for B.Tech Lateral Entry programme. I have been in LPU so I can vouch on their practices that they are implementing and I have witnessed their effort for students and management working hard for placement and imparting quality teaching. If you want to do in your free time, then go for AIME, as a side course. Otherwise, for full time exposure go for B.Tech.
