Both of these colleges are well enough, but I will suggest you to choose Thapar University, because it has high packages, excellent faculty members.

Thapar University is better recognised than Jaypee. Placement wise, exposure wise, Thapar University is ahead of Jaypee. Plus, National Rankings of Thapar University are much more ahead than Jaypee University. So, for the same course, go for Thapar University than Jaypee University.

I think Thapar University is a much better option than Jaypee, because TU has good placement record and is a much older university than any private university in India, also it was ranked 26th as the best engineering Institution and 4th Best private university in the space of Engineering and Tech. as per NIRF rankings 2017 by Ministry of HRD India, so I think it itself clears that Jaypee or any other Pvt university has no competition when it comes to Thapar University.
Rest is upto your choice. I can only wish you good luck!
