Which one is better among CSE and ME in terms of placements and salary package?
I scored 78% in 12th and will JEE Mains will take on 8th April. I belong to ST category. I want to study in IITB.

It purely depends upon your interest in the specific field. But, considering placements, CSE has more frequent opportunities as today every company needs the IT and computer people. Mechanical engineering is a core branch and It also has lot of opportunities of placements. But, again if your preference is towards salary and placements, going with CSE is a good opt.

First of all, it depends on college whether the college is specialised in particular stream. Coming to present scenario everything is automated so scope for computer engineer is more and some companies offer good package but because of increasing students in computer engineering reduces the value and lowers down average package for computer science and coming to mechanical. It depends on company in mechanical avg package will be 3-4 Lacs per annum in avg. university. And for computer science it will be 2.5 -3 Lacs in normal IT firms.
