Which one is better among fashion designing and fashion communication?

Hi Annapurna, Both are great career options. You need to figure out which fashion domain you want to be a part of. If you are creative and love the art of designing clothes and other accessories, fashion design would be a great choice. It is very much influenced by social and cultural attitudes and it has varied over place and time. It includes studying the latest fashion trends, sketching designs etc. Fashion Communication on the other hand implies promoting the designs that are made by the fashion designers. It includes styling, visual merchandising, graphic designing, advertisement, creative writing etc. So, if you want to market or promote a fashion brand, Fashion Communication should be your preference. There are various institutes, which provide above-mentioned two fashion designing courses, some of them are NIFT, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, IIFT (Indian Institute of Fashion Technology) which are recommended as top fashion design colleges in India.

Hi, One can't really compare both of them, because both of them have their own specialisation. So, it depends on your personal choice, if you are more into designing apparel then you should go for fashion designing and if you like working on software more and photography, styling then you should go for fashion communication. Though these days fashion communication is in demand. So, if you want higher salary package, then you should go for fashion communication.
