Both of these are renowned names, both have their own strengths, While Thapar's strength is its heritage and goodwill accrued over the 50 year period, LPU's strength is its intellectual capital. Since the placements are considered as the ultimate barometer of success of organisation, I'll enumerate the placements of both. As per the website of Thapar university, it has got 282 companies visiting the campus and with 994 offers. Compare it to LPU : it attracts more than 300+ companies only for its CSE ! With 650 companies in total out of which more than 60 offer above 10LPA, 100 are from fortune 500 and more than 100 which come to LPU only other than IITs & Iims ! Moreover LPU places over 10 K students every year which in itself is a great FEAT. So LPU has a higher bandwidth with regards to placements than Thapar. DVD.

LPU is a better university to pursue computer Science engineering because LPU provides good CSE faculty members, good course curriculum, good infrastructure and good computer labs also.

Dear Arvind, Every university is doing good for his students for their best career. There are certain parameters such as placements, infrastructure, faculty level, environment, growth etc. To be considered while selection of institute for pursuing education. It a big question in the mind of a student as well as parents that what will the offers and placement scenario of educational institute when the student will be about to complete the course. LPU is an international university with more than 700+ tie ups with industries and companies to support academic and placement of his students. My cousin sister done her B.Tech in CSE from here and she got placed in Cognizant with top package. Other friends of her also placed in other companies such as Capgemini, Tech. Mahindra, BOSCH, Amazon, SAP, Texas Instruments, Cadence, Sandisk, Moserbear. Their junior Tanya Arora who is recently in news, got placed in Microsoft with 42 LPA. So, we have no doubt that LPU is best and a bench marks for placement and internships of students not only in CSE but also in other courses. From few years the demand of Computer graduates is very high in industries and IT sector due to increment in application and software based automation processes. So, your choice of course is absolutely perfect to begin your career. Well every university is doing good for their students but as per my knowledge I can give you the insight of LPU as my cousin did B Tech from here and she is placed in cognizant with good salary package. 1) In LPU, the faculty, infrastructure and facilities are excellent as IITs. 2) In LPU, due to tie ups with leading companies such as SAP, Cognizant, Microsoft, BOSCH, CISCO, GOOGLE etc. , the syllabus of courses are vetted and inspected by these company professionals in the beginning of every semester. 3) The preparation of placement subjects such as soft skills, analytical skills etc. Are the part of curriculum here like, you will read these as subjects in every semester like other subjects. 4) There are more than twelve Center of Excellence established by the prestigious companies like Automation Any ware, Texas Instruments, CISCO, SAP, Cadence etc. For on campus Lab training and internships 5) The innovation studio of LPU is a benchmark for design and development center where students can work on their ideas. Dear Arvind, As per my knowledge, Both the institutes are doing good at their own, here you need to do comparison on various parameter like, academics, infrastructure, exposure, placements etc. My brother has completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely Professional University, Currently he is associate with amazon, Reviews are pretty good, so I will recommend you to choose LPU over Thapar University. He told me LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. He also said, that With the advancement of course you'll be learning numerous programming languages. In the third year SAP will be introduced in the curriculum. Limited number of Universities provide this course. Here in LPU, students will learn SAP for the entire third year providing them an edge. At the end of second year students get an option to choose one of seven different minors to pursue (IOT, Big Data, Web Development, Machine Learning, Android App Development, Data Science, Cyber Security). A student can opt for any, according to field of interest. Students start getting internship and job offers from the 6th semester on wards. If you are eligible and possess all the requirements needed by the recruiter, then you may get placed in the 6th semester itself. The packages are quite decent too, for instance the first company that visited the campus in 2018 gave a package of 13 LPA. Apart from all the curriculum you will come across, literally, 100s of technical and non-technical competitions being held. Participating in them will give you an extra exposure, an extra platform to share your knowledge and showcase your skills. CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of our students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Between the two, I would prefer LPU for CSE. LPU is a single campus private university in India located in Jalandhar, Punjab with 30K+ students all across the world and with 4000 experienced faculty members and staff members with more than 200 programmes. LPU has a beautiful campus with a great infrastructure with all the facilities within the campus itself. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognitions and accreditation and still working for more. Even the placement opportunities in LPU are much better than other private universities as it is ranked the 5th amongst the other universities for its placement records. So, LPU will be a university I will suggest where you can pursue your higher studies.

In my opinion, You should opt for B.Tech CSE in LPU. The staff is highly qualified and experienced. Moreover, most of them are Ph. This. The curriculum is built keeping in mind the current technology trends. LPU offers different specializations namely IOT, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data, and many more. The placements at LPU are excellent. Many top recruiters visit the LPU campus to employ graduates, such as Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Capgemini, Bosch, TCS, and several other firms. Recently, a girl got placed at a package of 42 LPA. Moreover, Amazon recruited LPU students with 28 LPA.
