Which one is better at LPU between B.Tech (CSE) and integrated B.Tech-M.Tech (CSE)?

At LPU, both are better though the syllabus and curriculum for M.Tech will be slightly different from that of CSE. With placements, it all depends upon your grip on fundamentals and coding till the end. Definitely, being a Masters will give you a different edge than the Undergraduates. For comparison, both are good and of a good reputation. You can frankly choose one out of both.

Both are good in their own way, but I feel you should opt for Integrated one as it will save your 1 year as well as the hassle of entrance tests after B.Tech. B.Tech is a Bachelor’s degree and M.Tech is a Master’s degree that is after B.Tech. Some of the companies like Microsoft and Google give high value for Master degree. So Master’s degree helps getting a better job, salary and knowledge. The placements at LPU are almost unexpectable. Someone gets a really good package while some GET very less, it depends upon your portfolio and the interview. Mostly, the interviews matter a lot. If you did well over there you will definitely GET a good job. Recently in the Amazon placement drive, 15-16 students got a package in the range of 11-16 Lacs and it's a good package. But at the same point, there are some companies who took the students at the package of 2.5-3.5 Lacs. There will be many placement drives conducted by Tech Mahindra, Samsung, Koni Labs, Hitachi, Honda and many more. It depends on how you perform. Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and well-maintained. One can get every facility inside except non-veg food. Any type of drugs is not allowed inside. The classrooms are good. They usually use projectors and the concept of digital labs to teach the students. Wi-Fi access is there and the speed is good sometimes it lacks but otherwise it gives good speed. The mess has the same story. At first, you would GET fabulous food and after that, the quality will go on degrading and one doesn’t need to worry about the sports and other activities. A different block is there which will take care of it. Then medical facilities are also available inside. The hostels are good. You would enjoy living there. Faculty: The faculty (overall) is good. They are always ready to help and to teach. Most of the faculty members are well educated and explain the topics but when you go as a fresher you may find some problem with the faculty because they themselves are inexperienced. The senior faculty members are always there to help the students to bring up their ideas. If you have any doubt and you ask them and suppose they don't know about it, then they will figure it out for you. Overall, the faculty is good and well-qualified. They are always ready to teach you.

The largest single campus in India is a efficient enough with very promising, highly qualified and experienced faculty. With a qualitative faculty, research and development is reaching at the newer heights in Education sector. In all aspects, LPU is a very good destination to pursue your higher education. Now let us discuss about the aim which you projected for your prospective career. Well, if you have decided that you want to become a teacher or want to proceed your career in research then B.Tech- M.Tech. But if you SEE your future as a marketing guy then you should do B.Tech then go for MBA. All the best for your future.

Banu Jha if you wish to become a teacher or a research scientist then you should proceed with B.Tech M.Tech and after that Ph.D. could be the next qualification.
