After doing only BCA getting job opportunities will be difficult and you will have to do MCA (3 years). After that you will have some Probability of getting job. Even after investing your 6 years you will not get the package equivalent to B.Tech student. I would advise you to go for B.Tech for compl

As an ex-student of CSE, I would recommend B.tech over BCA. I am an alumnus of LPU, and got placed in MNC by LPU placements. Nowadays, B.Tech in CS has much better demand and scope in market while BCA and MCA is just about particular software but if you go for B.Tech IT, do it from a good college, you'll get very good placements.
