In agriculture in India is a 4 year graduate course consisting of topics such as plant genetics, entomology, plant pathology, horticulture, soil Science, agricultural economics, etc. The main aim of this course is to improve agriculture productivity scientifically. The career opportunities in this area include government sector jobs in banks (involved in sanctioning of Agricultural loans) and other state based plantation boards. I would say in between these two subjects to pursue graduation in none can be classified as better than the other. Everything depends on what kind of aptitude and future plans the individual possesses and what he/she wants to do in life.
