IIST - Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is generally considered to be a better option for a B.Tech. degree than Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering (SCT).

IIST is a highly selective institute with a strong focus on space Science and technology. Its B.Tech. programs are dual degree programs that offer students a rigorous and well-rounded education in their chosen field. IIST also has excellent faculty and facilities, and its graduates are highly sought-after by employers.

SCT is a good engineering college, but it is not as selective as IIST and its focus is not as specific. SCT offers a wider range of B.Tech.
