Hi LPU nurtures its students with great care in order to boost them to a pinnacle of success. This FEAT is not only for any particular field. The zeal shown by the college along with the hard work of the student have many success tales to tell and Architecture Department is one of it. The exhibition in the campus had much to say. Architecture has been approves by competent authorities and is being taught by experienced faculty. The infra structure is congenial for the study of architecture. Many workshops and seminars are conducted by industry experts as LPU believes in experiential learning. Since last few years, I have came across many students comparing LPU and CU. Though both are renowned universities and are doing well. Out of Chandigarh University and LPU, definitely I gave my vote to LPU because I know how the education is imparted and what efforts they are doing for their children. The way they are providing education is commendable. The architecture department is approved by COA and serves the purpose to create professionals who have a manual as well as computerized planning and designing skills on leading design software. The programmes are structured in five groups taking care of every dimension of the growing and ever-changing design industry viz. Core Courses, Supporting Courses, Skill Development Courses, Management Courses, Elective Courses. The academics focus on the development of student's creative skills by encouraging experimentation with new materials and processes with great concern for material conservation. As per my knowledge, Curriculum is as per guidelines of Council of Architecture (CoA) My cousin brother is pursuing B. Architecture from Lovely Professional University. He is in the 4th year and already has got a good command in his domain. After having a good conversation with him and his friends I got to know that the course has a bright future. Few points told by my brother who did his studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision: In the programme, innovative teaching practices are adopted. One such practice is called Experiential learning week which is organized every semester in which students are taken to nearby historic and construction sites and are given live case studies to do. In design studios, the professors encourage students to take challenging and practical design problems. Students documented the buildings and learning from Live Case Examples during experiential learning week. Architecture Students paying the regular site visits and gaining their knowledge on the latest construction techniques and implement into their design projects. Study tours are an integral part of curriculum with visitation of architectural and prominent sites provides maximum exposure to learn technicalities of architecture. Hands on experience by working on live projects to develop a sense of problem solving, critical thinking in order to gain real life understanding.
