<p>If you are truly interested in basic sciences, I suggest you to go for B.Sc and M.Sc at any IISER.</p><p>What I found beautiful about this is that you study physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, computer science, environmental Science &hellip; everything in the first 2 yrs.</p><p>And who knows u might go for a PhD. I have seen my interests &amp; decisions changing a lot with the passage of time.</p><p>If mathematics is the only thing u wanna do (&nbsp;you just know your passion!), &nbsp;I suggest a BSc honors in mathematics from a north campus college in university of Delhi &amp; then go abroad /good Indian research institutes.</p><p>So, to conclude, &nbsp;in terms of value and career opportunities, both options are good. You need to analyse what exactly you wish to learn during your degree though, and based on that, you can make your choice. If you are interested to explore the basic sciences with a focus on mathematics, IISERs do hold an edge.</p>
